Legislation & Regulation

» Create new markets and secure competitive advantages

The legal framework of a market influences every company, whether start-up or multinational corporation. Laws determine what a company may produce or offer, where, how and under what conditions.

Some laws and regulations are local, very detailed or industry-specific, others apply to an entire federal territory, the EU or even several states. In 2014, there were 21,391 regulations and directives at EU level, 1,681 federal laws in Germany and a multiple of state laws. In addition, there were 2,711 federal ordinances and a multitude of state ordinances. In the 18th parliamentary term (until 2017), 555 laws were passed by the Bundestag alone.

The concerns of our clients are as numerous and diverse as the tens of thousands of legal acts that govern the economic life of a company. This is where the CONCILIUS team feels particularly at home. Accompanying regulatory processes is our core business – at all federal levels in Germany and vis-à-vis the institutions of the European Union.
